WHAT WE DID

Moonbeetle created this website about lamb in collaboration with Green Seed Belgium, the marketing agency specialized in marketing for the food sector. On this website you can learn a lot about the origin and history of lamb and, of course, find the tastiest lamb recipes. Regularly, a recipe is highlighted and visitors can rate recipes.

Prefer not to have a generic website? We completely understand. Especially now with all the AI tools it seems like a lot more is possible—and in fact it is—but at the same time you still see many generic, indistinct layouts and templates. While the whole point is that you can stand out by being different. Including in terms of design.

The fact that we were given carte blanche when it came to the design is clear. Because after all these years, the design is still strong and the website still stands out from the generic websites you often see these days. At Moonbeetle, the design starts on a blank canvas. We sketch out the broad strokes, create a realistic prototype, immediately in the browser. In doing so, we look at what material we have and give it the layout it deserves. That is a fundamentally different way of designing than buying an existing template, adjusting the colors and “cramming” all the content into it, or having to make compromises because the purchased template doesn’t match the supplied content. Our approach is better.

Recipe for a good website

What makes a good website? Simple. Good copy and great visuals. Not hundreds of photos, but a few well-selected, truly beautiful images, supported by strong text. By strong text we mean copy that is appreciated by both the visitor and the Googlebot. Relevant, SEO-optimized and still easy to read. That’s how you immediately recognize the better (web)copywriter. Because every project is different, we prefer to work with specialized photographers and copywriters.

For us, a design is successful when it isn’t interchangeable. When you can’t just swap out a logo and be done. That’s why it also makes no sense to create 1001 designs.
